Hinckley Productions seeks a seasoned video editor and producer. Time will be split approximately 50/50 between these roles.
Video producers will have advanced videography and extensive experience with field sound to create video content including interviews, product videos and a variety of productions. They are capable of managing various elements of a production starting with assessing needs and overseeing a production from concept to completion. Tasks will commonly include: scheduling and managing crew and other resources, directing, logistics, cost assessment, timeline-management, production delivery, and client account management.
Producer must be able to represent Hinckley Productions with professionalism and be able to speak of the business includings its service offerings and its high caliber work. Producer must be a dedicated partner to the business to meet goals for continued growth and success.
The video editor is responsible for the post-production process for video projects. Candidates will demonstrate skill in constructing narrative and an eye for creative decision making. The skilled editor will understand how to balance creativity with a mind for budgeting and delivery.
Our post-production schedules are often fast paced and the candidate must demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, high attention to detail. They must be able to manage multiple projects at once while working on a team and directing other team members. Candidates with project management skills and experience leading and managing are required.
This job will be performed during general business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm) though periodic evenings and weekends will be required as productions and post-production schedules dictate.
- Excellent aesthetic standards of video
- Experience with Sony FS7, Sony & Canon DSLRs or similar
- Field Sound (micing, mixing)
- Directing, crew management & leadership
- Linear and non-linear editing include syncing, implementing graphics and text
- Advanced color correction and color grading skills
- Advanced audio mastering techniques.
- AE and/or other animation
- Extensive knowledge of Premiere
- Strong familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Encoder
- Google Docs / Suite
- Other useful skills include business development and client acquisition
Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience with a degree in communications, broadcast or related field.
Valid driver’s license required. Must be able to lift 50lbs, and assist with loading and unloading production equipment.
