Barnes & Noble reached out to our company in late summer of 2018, seeking a vendor that could assist in rapid turnaround edit work. Their team would record video content for social media with an occasional need for broadcast support.
Although Barnes & Noble is headquartered in New York, Hinckley Productions has proven to be a choice partner to manage video post-production through our diligence, creativity and rapid turnaround.
Through this partnership, we assist Barnes & Noble by creating high quality short videos for their YouTube channel and social media pages that cover a wide range of topics, author interviews and video from hosted events. Highlights include interviews with poet and illustrator Rupi Kaur and #1 New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult.
Our job is to take their raw footage and streamline the assets into quick, easy-to-digest videos for online platforms. Adhering to their strict guidelines and structure, we combine elements of video, audio, graphics, subtitles, logos and animations into quick one- and two-minute videos. It’s usually up to us to edit the content in a way that makes sense and provides the highest impact in the shortest amount of time. We work quickly to make sure the videos get back to the client within a few hours of the footage’s delivery. Careful proofing and a solid understanding of the client’s needs ensures we are able to stay on track.
Barnes & Noble sends us a variety of videos to edit – it’s literally anything and everything. We’ve done live coverage of comic conventions around the globe (including a segment for Tokyo Comic Con that required a 2 am delivery time –thanks, Jackson!), TV and movie releases, their holiday sales, product releases, fun unboxing videos and intimate author interviews.
We value our relationship with Barnes & Noble and are honored to support their mission of helping readers reach their aspirations.
